Goals
All these refugees were protagonists in an unprecedented in international history and the “greatest movement of populations in history”. Our goals are to highlight the drama and history of the relocation of these populations, the difficulties they faced during the relocation and the “reception” by the Greek authorities and residents of the areas.
We explore, bit by bit, the geographical points of Greece that were chosen to host them and discover the particularities of each local community of refugees. We discover the culture, tradition, manners and customs that they brought from their place and answer the question: “how did these affect modern Greece?”
